Summer is flying by

Tomatoes continue to come a few at a time, can't wait for the rush of the 100+ that are ripening now!! Andrew leaving for Idaho, summer youth camp, he had a blast and even met a girl, she's in Boise. Addy and I stopped by a back yard VBS for the day and got to hunt for tadpoles in the pond! She was so brave even took her shoes off and went 'wading'. While we were in Leavenworth (just Keith and I) we picked the girls up a wooden puzzle Addy got horses and Emma got a lamb. They love them of course, Andrew stills has his from Germany a Trex. We had some corn on the cob for the first time this summer and it was yummy!! We celbrated Keith's 41st birthday as well. Got a chance to get out to a park and play for a bit on a breezy 90+ day. Afterward stopped by a friends where Addy found a new friend, she was pretending to be sleepy, silly girl.  Have a mentioned lately how blessed I am, a loving husband, good kids, beautiful home, all gifts from GOD and rainbows ...

Summer

Our first fruit off the vine!! a single very sweet and ripe Strawberry!!! We split it 4 ways, (emma was not home). The next week these beauties arrived, every one got some! We planted 'better boys', 'sweet 100's', &   'pear' tomatoes along with bell peppers, both green and orange; cucumbers (pickling and long varieties), as well a catalope vine. Not a huge garden but a blessing none the less. While Emma went camping in the mountains with a friend's family, andrew and Addysen got to 'rough' it in the back yard.. My allergies this year are horrible and grass seems to be #1 on the do not go near list. so the kids have taken to helping Daddy with moving the yard. Even addysen can push it by herself, just needs help on the turns. The extra hot days lead to more indoor play the last 2 weeks and games galore. We love  Blokus, it is the opposite of Tetris and the concept really gets your mind going!! Addysen love all things horses and Uni...

Does any one even read my thoughts??

I have been taking a break from reading or writing in the blog world for the past week and a half and just wanted to say hello. I know of a few that read my blog and acutally leave comments- thank you dearly. I am just wondering if there is any one else out there, who ever even randomly 'stops by'? If so let me know, I would love to return the favor and read your blog on occassion and 'get to know' what other Mom's like me are up to in the day to day of it all. I usually read 5 to 6 - blogs a day, as of late only 2 are read regular, less time on the computer = less time to read :) I hope you are all having a blessed summer!Sincerely from blogland - Nicole

Growing Real Friendships

Growing Real Friendships Had a few minutes this morning and just decided to read a blog or two. this one strikes such a cord with me. Friends have always held a special place for me, time and distance never really ends a friendship, just lack of communication.

Life is flying by

I just cannot believe that it is July now. There are 8 weeks of summer break left and tons of things I would like to accomplish. There are things daily that I set out to 'get done' and yet even when I do the 'big list' grows. There is only 24 hours in a day and I do not have a company to run or a ranch to manage just my home and 3 children and the needs of my husband. Yet when the sun sets most nights I feel as though my list of to do's has only been picked at. But thank you Lord for the morning anew to try again, to be nicer, try harder, work faster and focus more clearly. I do believe that keeping up with the 'jones' has begun to wear on me. I see many areas of my heart that long to 'be like - so and so' and when I feel less than I begin to doubt in God's plans for me and my family. So for just a time, undetermined  I have decided to rest these keys on my board and stop gazing around and focus inward on the things I know God is calling me to ...
