I have looking forward to getting away with my love again, since we were able to arrange one last summer. This weekend our Pastor is hosting a weekend get-away over on the Westside on the water. so not only do I get time away, I get to see the almost Ocean of the sound north of Seattle.I would pray that if you are married you would go out of your  way to show the love of your life how much you treasure them, oh yes and kiss'em like you mean it!

Our first reenactment is coming up the end of April and I am trying my hand at sewing the girls' dresses and underpinnings. I have the pattern, as seen below on white butcher paper to go off  for the dresses, for the chemise, petticoats, and pantaloons, I have to make the pattern myself. Just so you all know the last time I had sewn anything was in like the 4th grade for 4H. Thankfully there are no zippers, just lots of pleating and some piping work.    This photo show the finished product, sort of the girls dresses are fancier -I am supposed to trim them out. Here is Emma's sleeve piece. This is the set we bought for Addysen last fall, I will use them as a base for making Emma's underpinnings. These are all the pieces for Emma's dress, just not the linings for the bodice maybe tomorrow I will show you what 40 yards of muslin looks like fresh from the wash. (Crazy piles of fabric.)
