Blizzard blog hop

I joined in on the Blizzard Blog hop via household6diva Feel free to check out the nearly 200 who are linked in so far.

My name is Nicole and I blog over at Be Anxious for Nothing . I have been at this blogging thing for a few years and love the opportunity it gives me to see other women wanting to be an encouragement to those they can even via the web.
I blog mostly about what matter to me,  my family and my faith.

I have been married to my man for 16 + years and have 3 wonderful children.
I love the Ocean - here we are at the beautiful Outer Banks of NC.
We woke the children at 525 AM to see the sunrise and none of them even complained.

I can usually be found with some form of coffee with in a few feet of me.

I love sunrises and sunsets, and taking photos when the opportunity arrives.

We built our first home in 2009 and this past summer I grew my first 'tiny' garden. The tomatoes were a big hit.

This is the love of my life, we were at the beach once again - this time Ft. Stevens, Oregon. After being married 5 years my man decided to join the military at 30 and became and MP. We served in Germany for 3 years, then returned stateside landing in Washington state. After the birth of our 3rd child he decided to go back to civilian life. We are so blessed to know so many who still serve this country day in and out. God bless you all.

In my 'free' time I love to scrapbook, and blog.

I just recently began redoing my scrap/guest room and I cannot wait to get it all done so I can move onto the fun of having the room, not just organizing it.

Here are my 3 blessings - Andrew (nearly 15), Emma (now 13), and Addysen (6 days short of 6 - OH dear).

thanks for stopping by.

I love the ocean too! We just went to the Outer Banks this past fall. Thank you for you and your hubby's service to our country! Nice to "meet" you through the blizzard hop.
The title of your blog is what caught my eye on Bloghop! I want to visit them all but with time constraints...you know the deal...sigh! Thanks for sharing your story!

That verse is one of my favorites! When I start freaking out and getting all stressed, God gently reminds me of it.

It is so nice to meet you, you have a lovely family!

Stopping by from the hop,

Wow, we have a lot in common! Thanks for leaving a comment on my blog so I could visit yours :) Love meeting other military families and other women who love to scrapbook. We did our first garden last summer and even though it was a real time of learning, we had a great deal of success.

Blessings to you and hope your journey to eating healthier goes well :)

Great intro to your family. I love WA state and miss being there terribly, especially in the winter and summer. I live in MN. I love gardening, but wish my kids shared the love of eating what came from that garden.

Oh, Nicole...thank you so much for your loving words. They were a blessing to read this morning.

So 8 years of supporting a child? That is WONDERFUL! Not many people would keep such a long commitment. God bless you for YOUR beautiful heart!

The picture of that precious little child's hand still makes me cry every time I see it, too. I think that's why I keep pictures like that on here. I want to see those things daily so I don't slip into having an ungrateful attitude. I always want to be striving towards a more thankful heart. I also want to constantly remind myself that other people are out there suffering, and I need to care about them.

It was very nice "meeting" you today. I hope that we can keep in touch : )

Bless you friend!
Lots of love,
Laura

Following you back...My husband is 30 and that is when he joined the National Guard. He is in a unit of MPs. We used to grow a garden every year when I was a child. I am going to attempt to grow a small one this year. Not sure how that will go with my brown thumb :)
I love your picture with the sun in the corner. The Outer Banks is such a cool place!

45 & Counting

The days ahead of my birthday were filled with wonderful times, friends and reflection on my part. I'm blessed to have these handful of ladies to be doing life with right now. They challenge me in striving to lean on God, look to His Word in scripture and I'm reminded I'm loved, as well to humble myself. They all love Jesus and each adds a great JOY to my days.  I've been given a life underserved. With days of grace and mercy, He pours out on me, a love I still don't fully comprehend.  The richness of blessing that is my husband. His amazing example of love through serving. I was spoiled for days, with dinner, gifts, breakfast, more gifts, lunch, flowers, and yes more gifts. In all things, I'm full beyond words with a grateful heart.  The weekend leading up to my birthday, I had the opportunity to attend IF: Local here in Yakima.  We were given the verse:  Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their hom...

3 in 30

So the 3  in 30 is going along, I have not bought a coffee, but I have also not really left the house :o) . I have been reading to Addy and she is reading to me, and I love it. I did 20 minutes on the eliptical and knocked out 2.9 miles, yeah me. Now to get the little one ready for school and get on with the day. I hope you get a chance to spend some time worshipping the LORD today and reading His WORD, It is the best way to start the day. thanks for stopping by.
