Spa Night

So our church's Women's Ministry had a Spa night last Week end and I volunteered to cater it. It was a blast.
Wow This was fun, I have never truly zested before and this recipe called for Oranges, lemons and limes.

It was a Martha recipe, Triple Citrus pound cupcakes. yes the recipe called for a pound of butter as well as 9 eggs and some sugar flour vanilla and zext and viola, here  you have it. Then to top it all off a fresh lime juice glaze sprinkled with more zest and powder sugar.

We had Fruit with 2 kinds of dip (cream cheese fluff, and White chocolate creamcheese whipped topping), as well as a veggie tray and the Triple Citrus cupcakes and Mini tuxedo Brownie bites (a Pampered Chef recipe).

I also did (with much help from a couple of ladies) Three kinds of finger sandwiches. I did a chicken Salad with Water chestnuts and yummy Costco organic Seasoning, a Cheese sandwich (secret ingredient - pureed onion), and a Cucumber on Rye with Italian herb spread.

Emma  and My sister were able to attend, Addysen was very upset at this. I got the chance to do a parafin dip on my hands, I did it twice even. Just to make sure I got it right.  Later in the night I also took the time to do a foot bath and had my heels done, by a very nice lady (thank you Tanya).

Our church is mid construction on the foyer project (hence the huge wall of plastic) but we managed to have plenty of room for everyone to just work their way around the room and enjoy the evening.

Sounds like a good time was had by all. Bet you had a great time making new recipies and enjoying time out with the gals pampering yourselves. *smile* Sincerely, Mommy of two little blessings

I joined in on the Blizzard Blog hop via household6diva Feel free to check out the nearly 200 who are linked in so far. My name is Nicole and I blog over at Be Anxious for Nothing  . I have been at this blogging thing for a few years and love the opportunity it gives me to see other women wanting to be an encouragement to those they can even via the web. I blog mostly about what matter to me,  my family and my faith. I have been married to my man for 16 + years and have 3 wonderful children.  I love the Ocean - here we are at the beautiful Outer Banks of NC. We woke the children at 525 AM to see the sunrise and none of them even complained.  I can usually be found with some form of coffee with in a few feet of me. I love sunrises and sunsets, and taking photos when the opportunity arrives. We built our first home in 2009 and this past summer I grew my first 'tiny' garden. The tomatoes were a big hit. This is the love of my life, we w...

45 & Counting

The days ahead of my birthday were filled with wonderful times, friends and reflection on my part. I'm blessed to have these handful of ladies to be doing life with right now. They challenge me in striving to lean on God, look to His Word in scripture and I'm reminded I'm loved, as well to humble myself. They all love Jesus and each adds a great JOY to my days.  I've been given a life underserved. With days of grace and mercy, He pours out on me, a love I still don't fully comprehend.  The richness of blessing that is my husband. His amazing example of love through serving. I was spoiled for days, with dinner, gifts, breakfast, more gifts, lunch, flowers, and yes more gifts. In all things, I'm full beyond words with a grateful heart.  The weekend leading up to my birthday, I had the opportunity to attend IF: Local here in Yakima.  We were given the verse:  Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their hom...
