Planning the back yard

We have been in the house a year now and actually have neighbors on both sides. One of our Nieghbors has a dog, no big their life, their pet except for when one said pet uses our yard to - well you know!
So as we are trying to grow our grass and keep our sod alive we are now more than ever interested in a fence.

Oh yes and I would also like to put pavers beyond our slab of a back porsch and the Hubby is talking about a Pergola awning. Did I mention yet that I would love a garden, something in the range of 4' by 16' bed to work in easy enough.

Oh I almost forgot, it is not the yard but gutters are really looking neccessary as of now. We do not want 2 foot icicles again this winter due to poor run off.

So let's think about this - fence, garden, pergola, paver, and gutters. Wow taking a a second mortgage only one year into this seems a bit unreal - so home depot here we come with high hopes of saving on doing it ourselves. Have I mentioned we are first time homebuyers - we have only owned a shovel and lawnmower up to this point. But Hey my high hopes are of a finished yard before the snow hits again, or wait snow fell Friday - so I guess I better leave it at before Fall.

I'm with you on the doggies business. If other peoples pets could do their business in their yard maybe they wouldn't get so many. *big smile* No, really though, we have pets too and clean up behind them. *smile* With the cost of a new home and all the "extras" it can be overwhelming. Maybe your neighbor can come over and scoop your yard in the evenings. *big smile/wink* Have a great day and don't make a mess there, laughing too hard. *big smile* Sincerley, Mommy of two little blessings

Blizzard blog hop

I joined in on the Blizzard Blog hop via household6diva Feel free to check out the nearly 200 who are linked in so far. My name is Nicole and I blog over at Be Anxious for Nothing  . I have been at this blogging thing for a few years and love the opportunity it gives me to see other women wanting to be an encouragement to those they can even via the web. I blog mostly about what matter to me,  my family and my faith. I have been married to my man for 16 + years and have 3 wonderful children.  I love the Ocean - here we are at the beautiful Outer Banks of NC. We woke the children at 525 AM to see the sunrise and none of them even complained.  I can usually be found with some form of coffee with in a few feet of me. I love sunrises and sunsets, and taking photos when the opportunity arrives. We built our first home in 2009 and this past summer I grew my first 'tiny' garden. The tomatoes were a big hit. This is the love of my life, we w...

45 & Counting

The days ahead of my birthday were filled with wonderful times, friends and reflection on my part. I'm blessed to have these handful of ladies to be doing life with right now. They challenge me in striving to lean on God, look to His Word in scripture and I'm reminded I'm loved, as well to humble myself. They all love Jesus and each adds a great JOY to my days.  I've been given a life underserved. With days of grace and mercy, He pours out on me, a love I still don't fully comprehend.  The richness of blessing that is my husband. His amazing example of love through serving. I was spoiled for days, with dinner, gifts, breakfast, more gifts, lunch, flowers, and yes more gifts. In all things, I'm full beyond words with a grateful heart.  The weekend leading up to my birthday, I had the opportunity to attend IF: Local here in Yakima.  We were given the verse:  Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their hom...
