So Much Going On!

May for us for the last 3 years has meant Selah days parade and performance followed by photo sessions for dance. This is the first year the Emma and her BFF have been in class together and they have been giddy all year. With our move across town it gives them 2+ hours a weeks to sneak in some catch up time.  Here they are all dolled up ready for their ballet shoot. The swing that we bought last month has finally made it to the yard. Now we just need to build a small box around it for the pea gravel. Here is Addysen, at 7:10 AM mind you taking her first swing on her new 'playground' as she wants to call it. The Hops are on their way up the shoots, they grow almost a foot a day, check back next week for the up date. they will reach the top of their 21 foot pole in no time flat. So last week I was searching out Lumber garden boxes and found the directions for an easy peasy one ( I will link it later) and my man desided to get it put together for me, I got to help with the drilli...

Selah Days

Presenting the Colors One of the patrol cars from YTC!! Our friends from church, the Heilman's and their beloved Mustang. The pretty ponies, Addysen just loves horses! Emma walking the parade with her dance company, this year she even had two little ones assigned to her for chaperoning. From check, to the actual start of the parade and then the walk back to where we sat she marched over 3 miles and it was not a cool morning either. Our friend Roy, is part of the Shriners organization, he drives the big tractor that pulls the teddy bear. Emma prepped to take the stage, I love cathing her while she is not aware of it. She is such a beautiful girl ( I am a bit partial!). Taking her stance. Sunglasses on and ready to take on the world. Addysen did not wnat to stop for the picture, up top the fun house, with Andrew, Emma  and a group of thier friends that they rode rides with all afternoon and evening. Emma took Addysen on the rollercoaster and she was hooked, whe loved the round a...

So she did it!!

So we had Addysen's testing done last week for consideration to the dual language program and we got the call tonight that she is in. Yippee - I am so excited for her and me! I have lost most of my french from high school and look forward to picking up anew language, especially here in the little 'mexico' we call Central Washington. I will be picking up the Rosetta stone program to tutor us all summer and I hope that Andrew will get a slot in Freshman Spanish 101 as well!!!

Back to the Basics

Prayer, getting back to the basics, have done a lot I mean a lot of praying lately for Huge happenings in my life. I have a friend whose 18 month old has cancer, Stage 4 Neuroblastoma and has begun chemo already. I have a friend whose husband is in Afgahanistan and she is 36 weeks and in 'constant' true labor, witha 2 year old and 12 year old as well as the house hold to take of. )just got a call from her and she is dialated to 3 and beginning to eface - she is trying to reach her husband and get him home ASAP - otherwise I get the blessing of being with her during delivery!) A husband who has more work to do than hours to do it in, they are ban from working overtime and yet still trying to squeeze the 10-12 hour day into 8 hour shifts. All these things weigh my heart and turn my eyes and heart to our Lord all during the day - to pray with out ceasing and know that He is able to do all things!!! Prayer - I believe is one of the hardest disciplines of the Christian walk but...

Mother's Day

Mother's day has been a hard on for the last 6 years, it is the day my father passed away. But today I was able to have my sisiter and mom both here to celebrate it with. WE went to church, awesome sermon about motherhood!! Then we all (9) of us went out to lunch at Red Robin and celebrated Mom's birthday as well. Came home and then took off to the park for a while, followed by naps and a late laid back dinner, with chocolate cake ans ome last minute chocolate butter cream frosting that Addysen helped out with. Addy and I want shopping on Thursday and picked me up two new outfits, fun and she picked out necklaces for everyone. she is so funny that little shopper of mine. I let the kids stay up a bit with family in town and late start tomorrow, so time to get stories read and tuck the crew in. I hope that all my Mom friends had a good day!!

Recital prep time

So we picked up costumes the last few classes and wow my little girl is growing way too fast. She decided to add tap to her ballet and jazz program this year and so 3 costumes later here we are. Dance lessons $71  a month + sign  up fee + recital fee+ new tap shoes+ costumes + photos = well let's just not go there. The smile on her face when she is in the groove = PRICELESS!!! I'm Too Cool - Jazz Butterfly Fly Away - Miley Cyrus - Ballet Girls Just Want To have Fun (remake) - Tap She will march in the SElah Days Parade this next weekend and then perform her jazz routine on the stage that afternoon. I am hoping for no rain and mild 70 degree temps. Going to miss it a tiny bit when she drops dance for sports next year, but she made the choice so I am good with that.
