A Short Day

Today is ending up being a short day.
With late start and a Veteran's Day Assembly this afternoon, I found myself with only a few short hours at home.

So far today I have
- been listening to Jeremy Camp, and pandora's Phil wickham's station
-read some of my favorite blogs, checked out facebook and downloaded photos
-started the dishes
-done 3 loads of laundry trying to finish 5 of them
-cleaned up the kitchen
-worked on Christmas and Thank you Cards
-Vaccumed downstairs
-swept the kitchen
-tidied up the family room and our room
All in all it has been a productive morning and now I am off to the school.

I hope to upload more photos from our travels last month later today.

Yesterday would have been my father's 71st birthday, sure miss him. As we are now going into the next few days where we will celebrat Jillane's 2nd birthday and the 2 year anniversary of my brother's passing has my mind in many places. Coming to the LORD with all my mixed up emotions. Thank you Jesus for being a light in the darkest hours of that week.

45 & Counting

The days ahead of my birthday were filled with wonderful times, friends and reflection on my part. I'm blessed to have these handful of ladies to be doing life with right now. They challenge me in striving to lean on God, look to His Word in scripture and I'm reminded I'm loved, as well to humble myself. They all love Jesus and each adds a great JOY to my days.  I've been given a life underserved. With days of grace and mercy, He pours out on me, a love I still don't fully comprehend.  The richness of blessing that is my husband. His amazing example of love through serving. I was spoiled for days, with dinner, gifts, breakfast, more gifts, lunch, flowers, and yes more gifts. Multitudes on Monday..

Wow ~~~~ the Lord is so gracious! I have missed reading and participating in such a great community of believer's and counting the grace, the good and the 'not how I planned it' but God knew what He was doing days. Jeremiah 29:11-14 11 For I know the plans I have for you,” says the L ord . “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. 12 In those days when you pray, I will listen. 13 If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me. 14 I will be found by you,” says the L ord .
