Every Season



Every evening sky, an invitation To trace the patterned stars And early in July, a celebration For freedom that is ours And I notice You In children’s games In those who watch them from the shade Every drop of sun is full of fun and wonder You are summer


And even when the trees have just surrendered To the harvest time Forfeiting their leaves in late September And sending us inside Still I notice You when change begins And I am braced for colder winds I will offer thanks for what has been and was to come You are autumn


And everything in time and under heaven Finally falls asleep Wrapped in blankets white, all creation Shivers underneath And still I notice you When branches crack And in my breath on frosted glass Even now in death, You open doors for life to enter You are winter


And everything that’s new has bravely surfaced Teaching us to breathe What was frozen through is newly purposed Turning all things green So it is with You And how You make me new With every season’s change And so it will be As You are re-creating me Summer, autumn, winter, spring

This song brougth me through the sorrow of losing my father over 7 years ago, and just came across pandora and mentioned the celebration that is to come this Monday for our Freedom. Of course our ultimate freedom comes in Christ and For that I am thankful for the seasons He has brought me through recently. There is a time a season for all things.

45 & Counting

The days ahead of my birthday were filled with wonderful times, friends and reflection on my part. I'm blessed to have these handful of ladies to be doing life with right now. They challenge me in striving to lean on God, look to His Word in scripture and I'm reminded I'm loved, as well to humble myself. They all love Jesus and each adds a great JOY to my days.  I've been given a life underserved. With days of grace and mercy, He pours out on me, a love I still don't fully comprehend.  The richness of blessing that is my husband. His amazing example of love through serving. I was spoiled for days, with dinner, gifts, breakfast, more gifts, lunch, flowers, and yes more gifts. 3 in 30

So the 3  in 30 is going along, I have not bought a coffee, but I have also not really left the house :o) . I have been reading to Addy and she is reading to me, and I love it. I did 20 minutes on the eliptical and knocked out 2.9 miles, yeah me. Now to get the little one ready for school and get on with the day. I hope you get a chance to spend some time worshipping the LORD today and reading His WORD, It is the best way to start the day. thanks for stopping by.
