Eating Better Day 2

So for breakfast today well Coco Puffs with Milk,  a banana and oj, not everyone was up so I skipped the smoothie.
Lunch - something we are trying - Costco's ready serve Angus Burgers w/cheese. Not sure it's a keeper.
addysen had pretzels in the car while we ran into town for errands.

Dinner - Chicken salad (mayo, seasoning, dill pickles) with cucumbers and cheddar cheese slices on Triscuts.
After Dinner - Rootbeer floats.
Ok so today was not chalk full veggies or salad but not JUNK by anymeans.

so the reason i write this is Addy has gained 14 pounds in 14 months and I was concerned and asked the 'stand' in pedeatrician last week about it and he ---- NO JOKE --- looked at me, looked at Addy, Looked back at me and said, drum rolll please ----"WELL WE ARE WHAT WE EAT." I had no response and ended the meeting as quickly as possible and left. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!
FOR ONE THAT IS NOT MEDICALLY SOUND - FOR TWO BECAUSE I AM OVERWEIGHT DOES NOT MEAN I SHOVE HO HO'S AND TWINKIES DOWN MY CHILDREN'S THROAT..
OK sorry for the caps but I mean really?? So this week we have a recheck with our REAL DOCTOR - and he has neven given me any kind of pat answer so I hope we can get to the bottom of this.

Ok well - thanks for listening to my rants.

I joined in on the Blizzard Blog hop via household6diva Feel free to check out the nearly 200 who are linked in so far. My name is Nicole and I blog over at Be Anxious for Nothing  . I have been at this blogging thing for a few years and love the opportunity it gives me to see other women wanting to be an encouragement to those they can even via the web. I have been married to my man for 16 + years and have 3 wonderful children.  I love the Ocean - here we are at the beautiful Outer Banks of NC. We woke the children at 525 AM to see the sunrise and none of them even complained.  I can usually be found with some form of coffee with in a few feet of me. I love sunrises and sunsets, and taking photos when the opportunity arrives. We built our first home in 2009 and this past summer I grew my first 'tiny' garden. The tomatoes were a big hit. This is the love of my life, we w...

45 & Counting

The days ahead of my birthday were filled with wonderful times, friends and reflection on my part. I'm blessed to have these handful of ladies to be doing life with right now. They challenge me in striving to lean on God, look to His Word in scripture and I'm reminded I'm loved, as well to humble myself. They all love Jesus and each adds a great JOY to my days.  I've been given a life underserved. With days of grace and mercy, He pours out on me, a love I still don't fully comprehend.  The richness of blessing that is my husband. His amazing example of love through serving. I was spoiled for days, with dinner, gifts, breakfast, more gifts, lunch, flowers, and yes more gifts. In all things, I'm full beyond words with a grateful heart.  The weekend leading up to my birthday, I had the opportunity to attend IF: Local here in Yakima.  We were given the verse:  Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their hom...
