My 1000 Gifts - Approaching 300

As I approach the writing of #300 in my gifts journal, I wanted to share a few photos from the journey. I have been able to capture some of the beautiful grace filled moments and the little glimpses of gifts just for my enjoyment.

I wrote this in my journal on March 2, 2011; just over 3 weeks ago : As I have reached gift #214 in this short month and half of journaling my gits, what I realize is I do long for the better thing (Mary living in a Martha world - to sit with the Lord is the better thing), the grateful heart the joyful soul. I want my children to know the Lord's blessings personally. I desire to be intent in my day. I want the every day to be intentional in searching out the Grace of God. Thanking the Lord for Love bestowed, by my helpmeet, my children and my closest friends. For the health of those who surround me, for those whose struggle  is with such things as cancer and disease, and those born with greater challenges to overcome than I can imagine - that the Lord God is in control of all of it. For the Longing of deep Eucharisteo!"

Jesus First - Colossians 1:18

He is the head of his body, the church; he is the source of the body's life. He is the first-born Son, who was raised from death, in order that he alone might have the first place in all things.

I will join you for coffee, Nicole! Or better yet - you join me. I'll fresh-grind either Jamaican Me Crazy or Highlander Grogg, which do you prefer? :)

Waving and grinning,

Rhonda

Hi Nicole:)
What a wonderful list and blog. I love your Philippians verse title inspiration. Those verses got me through three baby deliveries! I also adore the pretzels in the glass jar. We have a gum jar, but a pretzel jar? Great idea! Two other items made me smile at our common ground--a teen daughter enjoying helping and a tea party. We're having a b-day tea party this Friday.
Blessings to you and your family.

I joined in on the Blizzard Blog hop via household6diva Feel free to check out the nearly 200 who are linked in so far. My name is Nicole and I blog over at Be Anxious for Nothing  . I have been at this blogging thing for a few years and love the opportunity it gives me to see other women wanting to be an encouragement to those they can even via the web. I blog mostly about what matter to me,  my family and my faith. I have been married to my man for 16 + years and have 3 wonderful children.  I love the Ocean - here we are at the beautiful Outer Banks of NC. We woke the children at 525 AM to see the sunrise and none of them even complained.  I can usually be found with some form of coffee with in a few feet of me. I love sunrises and sunsets, and taking photos when the opportunity arrives. We built our first home in 2009 and this past summer I grew my first 'tiny' garden. The tomatoes were a big hit. This is the love of my life, we w...

45 & Counting

The days ahead of my birthday were filled with wonderful times, friends and reflection on my part. I'm blessed to have these handful of ladies to be doing life with right now. They challenge me in striving to lean on God, look to His Word in scripture and I'm reminded I'm loved, as well to humble myself. They all love Jesus and each adds a great JOY to my days.  I've been given a life underserved. With days of grace and mercy, He pours out on me, a love I still don't fully comprehend.  The richness of blessing that is my husband. His amazing example of love through serving. I was spoiled for days, with dinner, gifts, breakfast, more gifts, lunch, flowers, and yes more gifts. In all things, I'm full beyond words with a grateful heart.  The weekend leading up to my birthday, I had the opportunity to attend IF: Local here in Yakima.  We were given the verse:  Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their hom...
