Organized Simplicity

Hot Spot Number 1
Master Closet

I forgot to take a before so this was about 15 minutes in and I had already cleared the back shelf off and bagged up some clothes for give-away.

Here are some of the bags from the first few minutes of purging; all in all 4 bags left the closet alone.

I then gathered laundry, and separated it, put all of Addy's things up top for now.

I sorted out winter only wear, as well as things that were Christmas and birthday gifts that are still to big into the lovely space bag for storage.

I then decided that struggling with her for outfits in the morning  was getting to be a bit much, so put together 5 outfits for her to choose from and once they are worn, I will switch out the tops with the pants for next weeks attire. This will equal less stress in the mornings and less mess as she 'digs' for an outfit every day.

I love that they are at her level, the green bins are for her underclothes, and socks and tights, the bin of drawers house her extra pants, her summer shorts and pj's.

After finishing with her things I rehung all my things in rainbow order ( I know, I know), and the shelving cubicles house all my sweaters, jeans and pj's. My mostly worn shoes are on the floor ans my occassional are in the hanging rack along with my other purses.

Of course my husbands side of the closet is pretty much in order all the time. His uniforms take up most of the space.

I did check in on the kids closets and they are in order and not really in need of too much purging for now.

Your closet is huge! Great job with all the sorting. I love the idea for your daughter's outfits! I will have to remember that when my daughter get old enough.

45 & Counting

The days ahead of my birthday were filled with wonderful times, friends and reflection on my part. I'm blessed to have these handful of ladies to be doing life with right now. They challenge me in striving to lean on God, look to His Word in scripture and I'm reminded I'm loved, as well to humble myself. They all love Jesus and each adds a great JOY to my days.  I've been given a life underserved. With days of grace and mercy, He pours out on me, a love I still don't fully comprehend.  The richness of blessing that is my husband. His amazing example of love through serving. I was spoiled for days, with dinner, gifts, breakfast, more gifts, lunch, flowers, and yes more gifts. In all things, I'm full beyond words with a grateful heart.  The weekend leading up to my birthday, I had the opportunity to attend IF: Local here in Yakima.  We were given the verse:  Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their hom...
